Museo Delta Antico - Pink Night Special Opening

Comune di Comacchio

The Museum tells the story of the ancient mouth of the Po River, which, with its numerous navigable canals and land routes, has been an important hub of trade and civilization over the centuries, connecting the Mediterranean world with continental Europe.
Of particular note are the sections dedicated to the Etruscan city of Spina, featuring objects from the settlement and the rich grave goods, the Roman world, and the birth of Comacchio in the early Middle Ages as a commercial emporium and bishopric. The precious cargo of the Roman ship of Comacchio, a true Pompeii of the sea, which offers a snapshot of the globalized world of the Roman Empire, has been transferred to the museum with a new, evocative display.
